MORROW, OH (FOX19) - A suspect in a wild police chase in Reading earlier this month is arrested after a chase in Warren County.

The Warren County chase started near Little Miami High School around 11:30 Tuesday night when police tried to make a traffic stop.

Officers say the driver refused to stop and lead police on a chase until eventually crashing at the intersection of Fields Ertel and Montgomery Road.

According to an AP article, the passenger is Mario "Rio" Gibbs, 22.

Officers have been looking for Gibbs since May 13 when Gibbs was allegedly beating and choking a woman in the front seat of a moving car in Reading.

The officer pulled the car over and Gibbs got out and ran from the scene.

Police say someone picked Gibbs up. They attempted to stop that car but officers say Gibbs pushed the driver out of the car and continued to drive.

An officer reports that he shot the car's tires and engine block, but the suspect would not stop. Police say Gibbs sped away from the scene in the car, nearly hitting the officer firing shots.

Court records indicate he was previously indicted on multiple felony drug possession and trafficking charges.

No one was hurt in the Warren County crash.

Gibbs is in the Warren County jail on resisting arrest and drug charges.
