Suspended doctor charged in mercy killing case

A suspended medical doctor in Montana has turned himself in to face a charge of murder in the mercy killing of an 85-year-old woman. James Bischoff makes his initial court appearance today. Bischoff is charged with giving fatal injections to a heart patient suffering from Alzheimer's disease more than four years ago. He says he was being pressured by the family to end the woman's life. Bischoff's bail is set at one (m) million dollars on the murder charge and 25-thousand dollars on three felony drug charges he also faces. Bischoff contends the drug charges are part of a "witch hunt" to get him because he practices natural medicine.
