Metro police say two suspects are in custody and a third remains on the run after a woman was punched and robbed outside a Nashville Walgreens while trying to use a Redbox movie rental kiosk.
Police say two men approached the woman as she was standing outside the Walgreens at 627 Gallatin Pike about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
They demanded her purse, but when she refused, one of the men allegedly punched her in the head before the men started dragging her by the purse until she let go, police said.
The two men then jumped into a 2000 white Toyota Camry driven by a third suspect, but the vehicle crashed at the intersection of Gallatin Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard.
Officers caught two of the men as they fled from the Camry, but a third suspect was able to get away.
Clifton Gooch, 20, is charged with robbery, and Tommy Lee Lawrence, 25, is charged with robbery, leaving the scene of an accident and driving on a suspended license.
Police describe the third suspect as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 5'7" and 145 pounds.
Anyone with information on the case or the whereabouts of the third suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
There is no word on the woman's condition after the attack.
