Ohio National Guard company returns after 19 months
The three-hundred-24th Military Police Company of the Ohio National Guard is coming home -- finally. The unit has been deployed for almost 19 months, providing security and training in Kuwait and Iraq. The troops left on February tenth, 2003, and had been in the Middle East since May of last year. They're expect to return to Middletown around noon tomorrow. Volunteers have been busy hanging yellow ribbons along the route that the buses will travel. The unit returned to the United States Friday and is demobilizing at Camp Atterbury in Indiana.
