Portman to speak on jobs, economy in convention speech
Congressman Rob Portman will be speaking at the Republican National Convention in New York tomorrow. His prime-time speech will address jobs and the economy, and how different they would be under the Kerry and Bush presidencies. The theme of the talk is "The Land of Opportunity." The Cincinnati Republican will be speaking the same night as Vice President Dick Cheney, Michael Reagan and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. The keynote address will be given by Democratic Senator Zell Miller of Georgia that night at Madison Square Garden.
