NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Xavier University (XU) students eat well while dining on campus, judging by an award recently given to the school.
XU received Gold in the Local E. Horton Dining Awards Competition, hosted by the National Association of College and University Food Services.
In terms of college and university culinary arts, the awards competition is considered prestigious, based on successful dining operations' creativity, atmosphere, nutritional food quality and variety.
XU's Hoff Dining Commons has received Gold in the Residential Dining Concepts category since 2008.
"To be judged as best of class by our peers in our first year competing is an honor," said Edward Devoid, Director of Xavier Dining. "Xavier Dining's program is a reflection of the quality and service that the Xavier students receive. We look forward to continuing to raise the bar on quality and presentation."
Hoff Dining Commons includes restaurants such as Andy's Mediterranean, Coffee Emporium, Blue Gibbon Chinese, Currito and more.
