Local boy scouts line CVG with almost 500 U.S. flags

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - In preparation of Memorial Day, a group of boy scouts spent Wednesday evening putting flags at CVG.

The young men from Troop 1 in Florence, along with members of the local American Legion, lined the entrance with almost 500 flags.

Participants say the idea is to never forget the sacrifices made by our troops.

"We do this to help people remember the importance of Memorial Day, and all the people who have helped us," said Troop 1 Boy Scout Stephen Lee.

The boy scouts get service hours for putting out the flags and say it's a great way to help the community.
