2 arrested for pair of purse snatchings in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) -

Two people have been arrested for a pair of purse snatchings in Middletown.

At about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a robbery at Marsh's Supermarket on University Boulevard. A female victim reported her purse was taken by a white female who fled the scene in a green colored Jeep driven by a white male driver.

Just before 10 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot of Kohl's on Roosevelt Boulevard. Another female victim reported that her purse was taken by a white female. When the victim confronted the suspect in the parking lot to get her wallet, a struggle ensued, resulting in the victim being dragged several hundred feet by the suspect's vehicle. The vehicle was described by the victim and several witnesses as a green Jeep.

The victim was taken to Atrium Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A short time later, an officer spotted a vehicle matching the suspect's description in front of an apartment on Lafayette.

As a result of the investigation, Amanda Robinson, 37, of Middletown, and Tim Brown, 39, of Franklin, were arrested and charged with robbery. They are being held at the Middletown City Jail.
