Vino Volo brings taste of the vineyard to CVG

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport has become the latest airport to feature a Vino Volo boutique wine shop for passengers.

Vino Volo (derived from "wine flight" in Italian) combines a cozy wine lounge, restaurant, tasting bar and boutique wine shop under one roof.

Founded in 2005, Vino Volo gives guests have the opportunity to taste hand-selected wines from around the world and either take home a bottle or have it shipped.

Vino Volo has 27 locations in 18 airports across North America and one city store in Bethesda, Md.

"We are very excited to open our 27th location at CVG," said Doug Tomlinson, founder and CEO of Vino Volo. "We look forward to bringing a taste of local, national and international wine country to passengers, and provide an oasis for them to discover great wines while they wait for their flight."

Vino Volo, which will be located in Concourse B, near the newly-renovated Starbucks and the airport's Outback Steakhouse Restaurant, has won 25 Airport Revenue News awards, including the "Food Operator with the Highest Regard for Customer Service" seven years in a row.

"This fits with our desire to offer unique experiences to our passengers," said Candace McGraw, chief executive officer at CVG. "Vino Volo offers a relaxing atmosphere and great wines – a 'must see' for those traveling through CVG."
