NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police have arrested a man accused in at least three robberies and an attempted homicide this month in East Nashville.

Queshan Brooks, 20, is suspected of demanding cash at gunpoint May 17 at Pick-A-Flick on Dickerson Pike, along with a May 11 robbery on West Eastland Avenue at Laurent Street and a May 18 robbery on Laurent Street at Chicamauga Avenue.

Investigators say Brooks was also riding in a getaway vehicle used by a man suspected of attempting to rob two women at gunpoint May 19 on Chicamauga Avenue at McFerrin Avenue. The women screamed, and the suspect jumped into the car empty-handed.

A citizen who heard the commotion began following the suspects' vehicle and Brooks allegedly fired two shots at the witness, police said.

Brooks is jailed on $640,000 bond and detectives are working to identify Brooks' accomplice.
