A man attacked and robbed a store clerk in Donelson early Friday morning, said police.
The incident occurred around 2:50 a.m. at a Shell station located at 580 Donelson Pike.
Investigators said a man walked into the store and tried to pay for several items with a credit card, which was declined.
The man then walked around the counter, assaulted the clerk and took the items he tried to purchase.
The man assaulted the clerk a second time outside and then fled with another person in a white Ford Explorer.
The clerk was not seriously injured.
The attacker is described as a black man about 6', 220 pounds, wearing a white shirt with a dark shirt underneath, blue jeans and a large chain with a logo.
