9-year-old boy injured in golf cart accident

MASON, OH (FOX19) -

A 9-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after reportedly falling out of a golf cart in Mason.

It happened Monday around 5 p.m. in the 3200 block of Mason Montgomery Road, located near the Crooked Tree Golf Course.

The child was airlifted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. His condition has not been released.

No word yet on exact circumstances of the accident.

Officials with the nearby Crooked Tree Golf Course said there was no correlation between the accident and their course, besides the nearby location.

Crooked Tree's golf carts are not issued to anyone under the age of 16, and a valid driver's license must be presented to obtain a key.
