BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - Attendees of Batavia's Memorial Day Parade enjoyed a fly-over as part of the celebration.
The Clermont County Veterans' Service Commission (VSC) and the Batavia American Legion Post 237 held the annual parade through downtown Batavia on Monday.
Thousands lined up along Main Street to pay tribute to military members currently serving, and those who lost their lives while serving.
"It always makes you feel really good to see a lot of people come out. We always have a good turnout in Batavia," said Ken Cook with the Clermont County Veterans of Foreign Wars post. "It's in remembrance of those who didn't make it back. It's in remembrance of those who served, but it's in remembrance of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and didn't make it back. That's what it's all about."
