3 hurt in Pierce Twp. crash

PIERCE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash in Pierce Township.

It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on SR 125 just east of SR 132.

Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2005 Dodge Neon operated by Thomas Stokes, 19, of Bethel, was traveling westbound on SR 125 when Stokes lost control and veered off the right side of the road, striking a telephone pole.

Stokes and a female passenger were flown to UC Medical Center via Air Care. Another female passenger was taken to Children's Hospital. None of the injuries appear to be life threatening.

Another passenger, Cory Wilhoit, 19, of Bethel, was not hurt.

The crash remains under investigation by Ohio State Highway Patrol.
