CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News Reporter Ed Gallek is learning more about how much evidence is being tested and how by the Ohio Attorney General for the Ariel Castro case.

The office is testing a total of 76 items, and we are told that testing will including DNA, fingerprints and firearms. A spokesperson would not describe what the pieces of evidence are, including how many guns there might be.

The Attorney General's Office has also not promised any timetable for results, but for example, a DNA test can take 20 days or more for results.

Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were rescued from Ariel Castro's Seymour Avenue home on May 6. The women had been held against their will and sexually assaulted for years.

Berry went missing in 2003 a day shy of her 17th birthday. DeJesus disappeared as she walked home from school in 2004 at the age of 14. Knight went missing in 2002 at the age of 21.

Castro is currently jailed on $8M bond and is under what the jail calls "suicide precaution."
