Snake rescued from house fire in Clifton Heights

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) - Crews were called to a house fire in Clifton Heights on Tuesday evening.

It was reported in the 2300 block of Stratford Avenue near the intersection of Warner Street, around 6:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, crews met a working fire on the third floor of a multi-family residence. It was quickly confined to the room where it started and extinguished.

No injuries were reported. However, a giant boa constrictor was rescued from the third floor of the home and appeared to be unharmed.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Cincinnati Fire Department.
