Kentucky law enforcement officers remembered fallen officer Jason Ellis on Wednesday.

A visitation was held four days after Ellis was gunned down while picking up debris on Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County. Investigators believe that the shooting was premeditated.

Kentucky State Police say that leads have been pouring in and they are working around the clock to find his killer.

Ellis was from Batavia and graduated from Glen Este High School in 1998.

One man Larry Eckhart or "The Flag Man" came from Illinois and lined the processional with more than 2,300 flags.

"He was fighting a war. Every one of these patrolman, city, county, state, they are in a war zone and this just proves it…That's one reason I feel my flags are suitable here, just like they are a soldier," said Eckhart.

The reward to catch the suspect has now grown to $43,000.

Ellis will be laid to rest Thursday morning at Parkway Baptist Church in Bardstown, Kentucky.
