Forecasters are calling Florida a "prime candidate" to be hit by Hurricane Frances. Coming on the heels of Hurricane Charley, it would be the worst double hurricane strike on one state in at least a century. Forecasters say the storm could hit anywhere from south Florida to South Carolina as early as Friday night. Evacuation orders are likely to be issued later today, when warnings and watches are posted. Folks already are preparing. About two dozen people lined up this morning at a Home Depot store in suburban Miami to buy such things as generators, tarps, flashlights and batteries. The store's assistant manager says as fast as they come in, people are buying them. Jamie Rhome with the National Hurricane Center calls Frances a "huge threat" to the southeast US coast, with Florida being the "prime candidate" for a hit.
