WILMINGTON, OH (FOX19) - Governor Kasich was in Cincinnati to announce that JobsOhio has helped to bring hundreds of new jobs to the Wilmington area, Thursday.
According to the Governor's Office, over the past six months, JobsOhio has won commitments from six different companies to put build or expand in Wilmington, Ohio. This new deal will bring 528 new jobs to the area, as well as keep 411 jobs.
Wilmington's economy took a big hit when DHL decided to leave the area in 2008.
The companies coming to the area are: Air Transportation International, Inc., Custom Molding Products, LLC dba NB Allen, Ltd., DealerTrack, Inc., Polaris Sales Inc. dba Polaris Industries Inc., Praxair Distribution, Inc., and Timbertech Limited.
