Newport man killed in Wilder accident

WILDER, KY (FOX19) - A Newport man suffered fatal injuries following an accident in Wilder.

Officers say that an unnamed 25-year-old male was traveling southbound on the AA Highway around 5:30 p.m. when his vehicle hydroplaned due to heavy rain.

Authorities say that the young man's vehicle crossed the double yellow line, striking a northbound vehicle.

The occupants of the northbound vehicle, a 28-year-old woman from Wilder and a 40-year-old woman from Fort Thomas, sustained non life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Police are not releasing any names at this time.
