Vigil for 1-year-old found near Hillsboro

HIGHLAND COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A candlelight vigil will be held on Sunday evening to remember Garin Niehaus, a one-year-old child whose body was found Friday just outside of Hillsboro.

Police found the body of Garin in a wooded area on Friday after authorities received calls about suspicions of the child's safety.

His mother Whitney Johnson and her boyfriends, Nathan Ritze, are facing charges connected to the baby's death.

The public is invited to attend a ceremony which is being held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Highland County Courthouse.
