BELLEVUE, KY (FOX19) - Police say a body found floating in the Ohio River Monday afternoon has been identified as a missing Bellevue man.
Ryan King, 30, was last seen early Sunday morning at his home on Washington Avenue.
Bellevue Police say his cell phone, wallet and clothing was found at the top of a set of stairs leading to the Ohio River behind the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Frank Benke Way.
Crews searched for King for about 16 hours on Sunday and into early Monday, finally calling off the search at about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.
On Monday afternoon, police received a report of a body floating by the public landing, located near US Bank Arena on the Ohio side.
Upon arrival, the body of a white male was recovered near the Taylor-Southgate Bridge. The body was later confirmed as King.
Authorities have not released further details regarding King's death.
