HILLSBORO, OH (FOX19) - A Richmond, Ky., couple was indicted Wednesday in connection with the discovery of a child's body found near Hillsboro.
Twenty-six-year-old Whitney Johnson and 25-year-old Nathan Ritze were both charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, child endangering, two counts of tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse and gross abuse of a corpse.
Authorities have indicated they suspect the boy, Garin Niehaus, was buried in the wooded area last December.
Both are being held at the Highland County Jail. A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for August 8.
