WEST END, OH (FOX19) - A West End apartment building flooded on Thursday evening --- but not from rain.
The scene happened near the intersection of W. 9th Street and Central Avenue, just after 6 p.m.
Authorities say a sprinkler head on the fourth floor of the building broke. As a result, water began pouring into the floors below, flowing all the way to the lobby floor.
At one point, the area around the scene was closed to traffic, ultimately blocking people trying to enter Interstate-75.
No word yet on the exact cause of the broken sprinkler head.
