MASON, OH (FOX19) - More than 75 roller coaster enthusiasts enjoyed marathon rides on Kings Island's Diamondback and Racer roller coasters Sunday.

The event was hosted in the name of raising money for Give Kids the World Village, a Central Florida non-profit resort that provides cost-free, weeklong vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

Kings Island and 10 other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company parks across the country hosted the annual event raising more than $150,000 for the charity.

Each of the 450 participants across the country raised a minimum of $75 for Give Kids the World to earn an opportunity for unlimited rides on a roller coaster.

Dave Cornell of Cincinnati, Ohio was the top fundraiser at Kings Island, raising more than $1,000 for Give Kids the World.
