CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A 22-year-old man is in serious condition after his bicycle was struck by oncoming vehicle.
Brendan Muccilio, 22, was riding his bicycle westbound on University Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Sunday morning. Police say Muccilio failed to stop at a red light and was struck by a Chevrolet Impala headed southbound on Jefferson Avenue.
The driver of the Impala, 29-year-old Tony Berry, was not injured in the incident.
Muccilio was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition.
Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation. Witnesses of the crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
