CLEVELAND, OH (FOX19) - A Cleveland man who lived six miles from where three women were held captive in a home is pledging to serve acts of kindness in their honor.
Alex Sheen, founder of 'because I said I would', says he made a promise to Amanda Berry, Gina Dejesus and Michelle Knight in which he would give them 10 days of his life to serve in acts of kindness.
In doing so, Sheen plans to walk 240 miles across the state of Ohio in ten days. The walk is an effort to raise awareness for the victims of sexual violence.
The walk will begin on Saturday at Cincinnati's Friendship Park and is scheduled to end in Cleveland on June 25 at the house where the alleged crimes took place.
