CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A man has been taken into custody after jumping from the Taylor Southgate Bridge.
Late Tuesday night, Newport Police and Cincinnati Police responded to the northwest pylon for the bridge on a report that wanted to jump into the Ohio River.
The Cincinnati Fire Department deployed rescue boats, and within 10 minutes of the boats being deployed, the man jumped 60 feet into the river.
The boats were about 50 yards away from the man and were able to remove him from the water.
The man was evaluated by EMS before being taken into custody by Cincinnati Police.
