Taste of the World highlights history and taste of Findlay Market

OVER THE RHINE, OH (FOX19) -

Are you looking for a unique way to experience Findlay Market? The Taste of the World gives Findlay Market patrons an exclusive look at the history and many flavors of the historic Over-the-Rhine market.

The Taste of the World is a 90 minute escorted walking tour through Ohio's oldest public market. Participants get an extensive history of  Findlay Market and can discover hidden gems.

The highlight of the tour is the food. Individuals get taste samples and small bites from six Findlay Market vendors.

Colonel De Stewart is a vendor at Colonel De Gourmet Herbs and Spices. Stewart says the food chosen for sampling depends on the season.

"We try to focus on things that are local and that are in season," said Stewart. "That's really what the whole market is about."

All of the vendors work together to ensure patrons get a truly unique experience.

"We try to coordinate with each other and really give folks a good sampling of what the market has to offer," said Stewart.

Dates for upcoming Taste of the World tours include:

June 19- 11:00 a.m.
June 20- 4:00 p.m.
