Ribbon cut on Lego Town 2013

BURLINGTON, KY (FOX19) -

FOX19's Frank Marzullo cut the ribbon on Lego Town 2013.

Wednesday's event was held at Camp Earnst Middle School in Burlington, Ky. There you'll find a complete town made of lego bricks on display.

The town is a creation of volunteer Sam Lapin, whose son is an 8th grader at the school. It features running trains, an operating amusement park, an airport, a castle a space center, water area, stores, homes, boats, cars and more.

In 2012, Lego Town raised over $5,000 for the school and attracted 1,800 visitors.

Lapin, a Communication Professor at Northern Kentucky University, has been building Lego projects for over 40 years.

Camp Earnst Middle School is located at 6515 Camp Earnst Road. The entry fee is $3 and all proceeds benefit the school's Lego League team.

FOX19 viewers will get in free from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
