Emergency crews were called to a reported fire at a Burger King Wednesday evening in Pleasant Ridge.
A caller reported the smell of something burning in the restaurant, just after 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, crews reported smoke and visible fire, which was put out within approximately 15 minutes.
The cause of the fire was due to smoking materials discarded just outside of the building.
Authorities say the Health Department was notified because the incident happened at a restaurant.
Damage is estimated at $5,000. No one was injured.
