MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Drivers in Middletown should watch their speed – and alcohol consumption levels.
The Butler County OVI Task Force will conduct a low man-power OVI checkpoint on S.R. 122 from 7:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 16 percent of all drivers involved in fatal crashes during the week were alcohol –impaired, compared to 31 percent on weekends.
Members of the task force plan to fight alcohol-related crashes by joining saturation patrols with a checkpoint.
