MASON, OH (FOX19) -

A Kid Again, a non-profit group which is dedicated to providing fun-filled outings and ongoing support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, is having its annual outing at Kings Island Tuesday.

A Kid Again children and their families enjoy park admission, a picnic meal, ice cream treats, Dinosaurs Alive! and the opportunity to meet and have photos taken with some of their favorite PEANUTS characters. They'll cap off a memorable day with a fireworks show over the Eiffel Tower at 10:00 p.m.

Approximately 4,000 A Kid Again children and family members from Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton are expected to attend the outing, making it the organization's largest event of the year.

In 2009, Kings Island raised more than $107,000 for A Kid Again through a first rider's auction on the Diamondback roller coaster. To date, the first ride auction on Diamondback is the largest single fundraiser in the organization's Cincinnati chapter's 18-year history.

Information about A Kid Again is available online at akidagain.org.
