Man charged in grandmother's murder

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) -

A man has been charged with killing his grandmother in Cleveland Heights.

Dale Palmer, 21, is charged with aggravated murder.

Jualen Green was found dead in her Woodridge Road home on Saturday afternoon. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner tells 19 Action News she died from asphyxia due to smothering. She also suffered blunt impact to her head.

A short time later, Palmer was taken into custody in the immediate area of the victim's residence after a short foot pursuit.

Palmer remains jailed on $250,000 bond.
