NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH (WOIO) -

Police are hoping surveillance video will help bust a couple of crooks who managed to steal over $800 dollars worth of quarters from the Wash Wizzard car wash in North Ridgeville.

Their execution was pretty good, one would slip a $5 bill attached to a string into the change machine, then with the help of something he slipped behind the bill would pull it back out after the machine released the change.  The other guy would scoop out the change and run it back to the white Chrysler 300 they were driving.

"These men are very efficient in the process used to manipulate these bill changers. They worked together to clean out those two change machines to the amount of $800 dollars in quarters," said North Ridgeville Detective Pat West.

It took the crooks just ten minutes, but anyone who knows them and sees the surveillance video, will recognize them immediately.

"These gentleman are very brazen, they're either unaware that they are under surveillance by video camera at this car wash, or they simply don't care," said West.

Police have not uncovered any similar cases in the area but are quite sure these guys have pulled this kind of crime off before.

"It just hurts, it's the aggravation, you put the cameras up here, you've done everything and I don't know, they're greedy," said Jerry Canterbury whose daughter owns the car wash.
