Gallatin Co. woman killed in early AM fire

GALLATIN COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

A Gallatin County woman was killed in a house fire early Wednesday morning.

Kentucky State Police say 75-year-old Audrey Wright was killed when a fire broke out at her home on US 42, just outside of Warsaw. It was reported just after 4 a.m.

Upon arrival, emergency crews found the home engulfed in flames.

Wright was pronounced dead at the scene by the Gallatin County Coroner.

Her adult son, was also in the home at the time of the blaze, was able to escape without injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but troopers say they don't think the circumstances were suspicious.
