Two female inmates escaped Tuesday night from the custody of Hamilton County Sheriff's Office jailers. The incident happened outside The Talbert House a Cincinnati rehabilitation center. One of the women was caught near the jail transport van within a couple of minutes. But the other woman made a run for it across Reading Road toward Liberty Street near Over The Rhine. A police K-9 unit was called in and the second inmate was quickly taken into custody in a tree-lined area near I-71. Neither women were in cuffs. The names of the inmates have yet to be released.
