BOONE CO., KY (FOX19) -

If you ever wanted to learn how food, fiber, and wine are produced, Boone County has you covered.

Self-guided tours will be available to participants of the second annual Farm Tour in Boone County, on Saturday, June 29, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Fourteen different locations will be a part of the event to give participants an opportunity to learn about the production of food and fiber. Several of the farms are historic, including Verona Vineyards, which is on the National Register of Historic places.

Other amenities offered by the tour can range from barn quilts to petting zoos.

The event will commence in rain or shine and is open to the public. Participants are encouraged to wear all-weather clothing and shoes that can get dirty.
