Kennedy Heights holds vigil for homicide victims

KENNEDY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) -

Kennedy Heights residents gathered for a vigil Monday in response to the two homicides that have occurred in the past two weeks near Kennedy Park.

The vigil remembered Christopher Burroughs and Dominique Hall.

Burroughs, 52, was shot Wednesday evening in the 3500 block of Woodford Road. Police have not named any suspects in the shooting. The Cincinnati Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.

Hall, 20, was fatally shot in Kennedy Heights Park on June 12.

A candlelight service was held calling for peace in the area. Attendees were joined by the Churches in Kennedy Heights and Pleasant Ridge, the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center (IJPC), the Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV), the Cincinnati Police Department, and family and friends of the two individuals who were struck down.
