TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The owner of a Toledo car dealership is asking for the public's help after multiple cars were vandalized overnight.

The front windows of nine cars were broken at Direct Auto Sales on North Detroit Avenue, and hoods were trampled on. Damage is estimated starting at $2,000 at least. However, the owner believes whoever was behind the crime was not looking to steal anything; they wanted to leave behind damage.

Workers say the damage is putting a dent in their bottom line because each windshield replacement can cost between $400 and $500 per car. That doesn't even factor in damage caused by walking on the hoods.

Security cameras were rolling, so the owner hopes the criminals were caught.

If you have any information about the incident call CrimeStopper at 419-255-1111.
