Sears to be replaced at Cool Springs Galleria

FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) -

Sears is being booted from Cool Springs Galleria as the retailer's landlord, CBL and Associates Properties, plans to buy out the space.

The move is part of a redevelopment plan at Cool Springs, and another mall in Kentucky.

CBL wants to redevelop, and expand the space. The idea is to turn the Sears stores into high-end specialty stores, and restaurant space.

For now, Sears at Cool Springs will stay open with official announcements on closing dates to come.
