HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Emergency crews were called to the scene of a train derailment Friday evening in Hamilton.
It happened around 8:15 at the Walnut Street crossing. Officials say two empty cars on the CSX train derailed.
According to Sergeant Ed Buns with the Hamilton Police Department, "No injuries are reported and there is no danger to persons or property."
Several crossings in the area were closed as crews worked to clean up the area.
As of 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, all crossings with the exception of the Walnut St. crossing have been opened. CSX railroad continues working to clear the derailment and repair the tracks.
The cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
