A boat and trailer were stolen from the side of the road in Erie County, according to troopers with the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Trooper say on July 2, the owner parked the boat and trailer on the westbound shoulder of State Route 2, east of State Route 61 in Berlin Township, when the tow vehicle became disabled.
The owner returned on July 4 to pick up the vehicle, but it was missing. Troopers believe someone took it sometime between July 3-4.
The boat is a blue and white fiberglass 20 foot long 1971 Well Craft, with a hull number of OH220001G371. The boat has a 155 horsepower Buick inboard engine.
The boat does not have a name, but it has a swim platform on the rear. It was on a blue homemade boat trailer bearing Ohio registration STN2538.
Anyone with information on the boat or trailer is asked to contact the Sandusky Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol at 419-625-6565.
