A man charged with extortion of Paula Deen is out of jail in New York.
FBI agents in Savannah told WTOC that former Savannah and Augusta resident Thomas Paculis was released on his own recognizance after being arrested in New York.
He will not be extradited to Savannah for his court hearing. He will have to travel to the Hostess City on his own. Paculis is scheduled to appear in Chatham County court in savannah on July 16.
