CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Hamilton County Commissioners held a public hearing Wednesday over a proposed five-year tax levy renewal for the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.
The Hamilton County Tax Levy Review Committee recommended Tuesday to commissioners a new 0.46-milll property tax levy to be placed on the November ballot.
It's been 30 years since the zoo last saw an increased tax levy.
The current levy costs the owner of a $150,000 home about $16 per year.
Commissioners have until August 7 to decide whether or not voters will see it on the ballot this November.
