SOUTHGATE, KY (FOX19) - A sinkhole caused by a large water main break shut down a Southgate street and left residents stranded for hours on Thursday.
It happened around 7 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 27 and Blossom Lane.
The sink hole was approximately five feet deep and extended the entire width of the Blossom Lane.
Blossom Lane remained closed for several hours as crews worked to repair the water line, preventing access to more than 200 homes.
In addition, dozens of homes were without water for most of the day.
