Man attempts to lure 13-year-old girl into car

READING, OH (FOX19) -

Authorities received a complaint Friday of a suspicious man attempting to lure a 13-year-old girl into his car.

It happened around 6 p.m. in the 8500 block of Reading Road. The report stated that a Hispanic male in his early 20s attempted to coax her into his 'dirty', silver Ford 4-door vehicle. The suspect was wearing a green shirt with a heavy build.

Officers attempted to locate the vehicle with no success.

Reading Police say officers are currently following up on investigative leads in an attempt to identify a suspect.

On July 4, the department received another child enticement complaint in 500 block of Jefferson Avenue.

Authorities say there is no indication that the two incidents are related, and both investigations are on-going.
