Motorcyclist in critical condition after hitting parked car in Oakley

OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - A motorcyclist is in critical condition after an accident early Friday morning in Oakley.

Police say Steven Lewis, 35, was headed westbound on Brotherton Road on a 2002 Honda Motorcycle and failed to maintain control. He hit the rear of a parked Honda Accord in the 3600 block of Brotherton.

Lewis was taken to the University of Cincinnati Hospital with life threatening injuries.

He was not wearing a helmet.

Police say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash.

The Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit is continuing the investigation and any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact the department at (513) 352-2514.
