A FOX19 staffer was honored for her long career in television at the regional Emmy's.
Generating 2-D and 3-D graphics plays a vital role in daily news production and Art Director Jane Elliott has been a part of those newscasts at FOX19 for more than 25 years.
That's why Elliott is receiving a 2013 Silver Circle Award for her more than 25 years of service from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
"Silver and Gold Circle members are honored for more than their longevity -- they are honored for making an enduring contribution to the vitality of the television industry and for setting standards of achievement we can all hope to emulate. These honorees also give back to the community as mentors, educators and volunteers," said President Jim Timmerman of the Ohio Chapter of NATAS.
"Jane has played an integral role in producing on-air graphics that consistently place WXIX ahead of local competition and on an equal level with the Networks," the NATAS wrote on their Facebook page.
"We are very proud of Jane for receiving this well-deserved recognition. She has shepherded numerous changes of the FOX19 look over her career here and every one of them have been of the highest quality and sophistication. Very few people have this kind of loyalty and longevity with one station - we are very fortunate Jane chose us," said FOX19 Vice President and General Manager Bill Lanesey.
Jane was honored at the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards at the Hilton Netherland Plaza in Downtown Cincinnati.
