So, you think it is hot since we have 5 or 6 days in-a-row at 90° or hotter? Think back one year.

The earliest 90° or hotter day was May 26, 2012. This year we hit 90° or hotter for the first time about two weeks later, on June 12, 2013.

Through July 15th in 2012, we topped the 90° mark 20 times and 5 of those days were 100° or hotter.

This year through Monday, July 15th, we have been at 90° or hotter only 3 times.

By the time September 1, 2012 rolled around, and we ventured into "90 degrees or beyond" territory, we totaled 44 days in the hot zone with 6 at 100° or hotter.

This year has a long way to go to meet or beat 2012.
